The Western Australian Department of Commerce has recognised Permacasts outstanding capabilities with regard to design and manufacture of precast and prestressed concrete products for the state’s major oil and gas, resource and infrastructure projects in their June 2013 Newsletter. The abilities of local Western Australian companies such as Permacast in meeting the strict standards imposed by multinational resource and development firms is critical in attracting investment to Western Australia and therefore providing not only short term employment during the project phase but in building a highly skilled manufacturing base and thus ensuring Western Australia’s long term prosperity.
In the June 2013 edition of the Departments online Newsletter, Permacast have been individually recognised for their exceptional performance on some of the state’s major projects, including but not limited to Chevron’s Gorgon project, Apache’s Varanus Island upgrade, Woodside’s Pluto project, Rio Tinto’s Dampier salt and Cape Lambert operations and the State Governments desalination plant in Binningup to name just a few.
Of particular note in this regard was Permacast ability to mitigate risk for their clients through a clear demonstration of quality, compliance and effective management and business systems. These systems and Permacast’s project track record combined with Permacast’s highly skilled engineering team and large scale modern precast facility (with an enviable 250,000m2 of storage space), has helped Permacast to be recognised by the Department of Commerce for their contribution to Western Australia’s precast and prestressed concrete manufacturing capabilities.
