Thiess Decmil Kentz Joint Venture awarded Permacast several contracts to supply over 2100 tonnes of precast products. These products were used at the Barrow Island LNG plant in northern Western Australia.

The project involved the supply of various size footings for temporary accommodation buildings at the Island. In addition to this contract Permacast were also given two other contracts for 2288 precast footings for the project’s permanent workers camp and supply of 160 precast concrete box culverts for the site drainage facilities.

Due to stringent quarantine conditions, Permacast was responsible for loading all products into pesticide-treated sea containers ready for transport. Permacast employees undertook quarantine training to understand and meet project requirements.

Permacast set aside a special quarantine area inside the factory and ensured cleanliness in all aspects of production to comply with the contractors requirements. To meet our clients program, Permacast commenced production of units within two weeks from receiving order.
