PERMAcast helped Errol Archer and Associates to construct a boat launching facility at Kennedy Bay as part of an integrated residential and tourism development in the area.

The facility, accessible from Port Kennedy Drive, features a two-lane boat ramp, 80 sealed car and trailer bays and public open space, incorporating public amenities, barbecue facilities and children’s playground.

Errol Archer asked Permacast to supply all precast components for the ramp and jetty structure. The structure included 88 precast ramp panels and 22 pile headstocks. All up a total of 490 tonnes of precast concrete.

Due to the corrosive environment strict quality requirements were specified. The requirements included galvanized reinforcement, S50 marine grade concrete, Xypex additives and 7 days continuous water curing.

This project exemplifies our versatility in making custom products for all types of projects.
